Hey everyone. The squash league positions have now been determined by the last scoring round. Now's the time to join if you want to challenge and make your way up the ladder. Normal squash ladder rules, i.e. play best of 5 (or first to 3 if you want to put it that way!), agree the game play rules before the game (i.e. traditional (first to 9) or newer rules (first to 11)), challenge anyone up to 2 positions above you, but I have added a twist in the interest of fair play, if 2 challenges are refused in a row then the challenger wins by default. That way you can't just lazily sit in a position without defending it! Inform me or Jon of games results so the ladder can be updated. We have a new squash player who joined just after the round completed, but that's fine, Lian just has to make her way up to her natural level. Anyone else who's interested please contact Jon or myself and we'll add you to the league. Cheers Roger
Hi there guys, i have been looking for a competitive but friendly squash league in preston, as my friend has hurt his knee. Where do you guys play? As i dont have any transport so can do matches in preston. Would it be possible for me to join your league? Cheers, Louis.
Hi Louis. You're welcome to join our squash league. I'll send you some contact details. Members tend to arrange their own games, either in Fulwood or Preston College, but anywhere that is mutually convenient. I'll email you shortly (next day or so).
We have just kicked off a round robin where everyone plays everyone else. All current ladder members have been informed and games will start towards it from this week, but as always if anyone else out there has an interest in playing squash and wants to take advantage of being able to play everyone, and thereby get a good idea of what levels of standard we have, then feel free to join us. Just post something here on the forum, contact Jon, or contact me on roger@muraldo.go-plus.net. Cheers Roger
